AMADOR CITY, Amador County — Amador City residents needing municipal records, permits or answers about local council decisions should account for limited City Hall public hours.
The city’s official government information lists the City Hall office at 14203 Main Street/Old Highway 49, with regular public hours Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon. The city gives 209-267-0682 and city.clerk@amador-city.com for inquiries.
Office hours are different from council meetings
The city now lists council meetings at the restored schoolhouse Community Hall, 14531 East School Street. A meeting’s location and time should be checked on the latest agenda; it should not be confused with where the town clerk maintains regular office services.
Residents asking about an ordinance should request the final adopted document rather than rely only on a notice of proposed legislation. Planning and building inquiries may have separate procedures and outside-agency requirements.
Requesting records
When contacting city staff, state the document name, date and issue as clearly as possible. Include an address or parcel identifier only when necessary for a public-service question, and do not send sensitive personal information in general public comments.
